Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains how Darb Law Firm and Legal Consulting ("Darb", "we") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit darblawfirm.com or contact us through it, in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its Executive Regulations.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your data is Darb Law Firm and Legal Consulting, El-Nahhas Street, Africa Extension, Nasr City, Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt. For anything concerning your data, write to: info@darblawfirm.com
2. Data we collect
- Data you give us through the site's forms: name, email, phone number, country, the service you are interested in and the text of your message.
- Technical data collected automatically to run and protect the site: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and strictly necessary cookies.
- We do not currently use analytics or advertising tools on this site; if we add them in future, they will run only after you accept them in the cookie banner.
- We do not ask for sensitive data through the site. If your matter requires documents or sensitive data, we will request them later through a suitable channel and with your explicit consent.
3. Why we use your data
- To answer your enquiry, arrange a consultation or appointment and follow up on your request.
- To prepare a fee proposal or service agreement when you ask for one.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations, including a lawyer's duties under the Advocacy Law No. 17 of 1983.
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
- To send marketing messages only if you have expressly agreed; you can unsubscribe at any time.
We process your data on the basis of your consent when you submit a form, to take steps at your request before entering into an engagement, or to comply with a legal obligation.
4. Professional confidentiality
We treat what you share with us about a legal matter as confidential, in line with a lawyer's duty of professional secrecy. However, submitting a form on this site does not by itself create a lawyer-client relationship, so please do not send confidential details before we confirm that we accept the engagement.
5. Who can see your data
Only the relevant members of the Darb team can see your data. We use technology providers to host the site and run our client-management and email systems (such as Odoo and Google Workspace); they process data on our behalf under appropriate protection commitments. We never sell or rent your data, and we may disclose it only where required by law or by a competent judicial or official authority.
6. Transfers outside Egypt
Some of our systems may be hosted on servers outside Egypt. We transfer your data abroad only under the conditions set by Law No. 151 of 2020 and its Executive Regulations, with your consent where required, and with a level of protection no lower than the law requires.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiries that do not become engagements for no more than two years from the last contact, then delete or anonymise them. Client data and files are kept for as long as our legal and professional obligations require.
8. Your rights
- To know about, access and obtain the data we hold about you.
- To withdraw your consent at any time.
- To have your data corrected, amended, updated or erased.
- To limit processing to a specific scope.
- To be informed of any breach affecting your data.
- To object to processing or its results where it conflicts with your fundamental rights and freedoms.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@darblawfirm.com and we will reply within the legally required period. You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Centre.
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), need-to-know access and backups. If a breach affects your data, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Centre and you within the legally required periods.
10. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site and remember your language and privacy choices. For details see our Cookie Policy; you can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of the page.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
